GamesPalworldJoin your Palworld server

Join by IP

  1. In the panel , copy your server’s IP address and port from the Console or Network tab, for example 123.45.67.89:8211.
  2. Start Palworld and choose Join Multiplayer Game.
  3. Paste the address in the box at the bottom of the server list and press Connect.

Joining by IP is the most reliable way. The in-game community list is slow and often does not show every server, so do not rely on searching for your name there.

Set a server password

  1. Stop the server.
  2. Set ServerPassword="yourpassword" in your settings (see Palworld server settings).
  3. Start the server. Players now get a password prompt when they join.

“Incorrect password” without a prompt: some game versions skip the password box when you join by IP. Open the Community Servers list, click any server with a lock icon, type your server’s password in the box that appears, then cancel and join your own server by IP again. The game remembers the password you typed.

Crossplay (Xbox, PlayStation, Mac)

Palworld dedicated servers can accept players from Steam, Xbox, PS5 and Mac. In your settings, make sure this line lists every platform you want:

CrossplayPlatforms=(Steam,Xbox,PS5,Mac)

Restart after changing it. Console players join from the in-game server list or with an invite code, not by IP, and everyone must be on the same game version.

Cannot join

  • Check the server shows as running and has finished starting (the Console stops scrolling).
  • Use the main game port from the panel, not an extra port.
  • After a Palworld update, players and server must both be updated. Restart the server to update it; see Updating your server.
  • If the server never finishes starting, see Server stuck starting, stopping or installing.
