In FiveM everything you add is a resource: scripts, jobs, cars, maps and frameworks such as QBCore or ESX.
Install a resource
- Download the resource and unzip it on your computer. Check that the folder has an
fxmanifest.luafile inside it. - In the panel , open Files, go into the
txDatafolder, then the server folder txAdmin created and itsresourcesfolder. Upload the resource folder there, or use SFTP for big uploads. - Open
server.cfg(in txAdmin under CFG Editor, or in Files) and add a line with the folder name:
ensure my_resource- Restart the server from txAdmin.
Resources start in the order they appear in server.cfg, so put a framework (for example qb-core or es_extended) above the scripts that need it.
Tips
- Avoid spaces and capital letters in resource folder names.
- Many scripts need a database. Create one on the panel’s Databases tab and put its details in
server.cfg(usually asmysql_connection_string). - If the server stops after you add something, read the console or txAdmin’s Live Console: the last resource it loaded is usually the cause. Remove its
ensureline and restart. - Only use resources from sources you trust. Leaked or “cracked” paid scripts often contain backdoors.
