Registering a new domain
- Search for a name at billing.atbphosting.com/domains . Budget-friendly extensions (₱250 or less for the first year) are checked first, starting with the ones customers buy most, with their first-year price. Tap Show more extensions to check the rest.
- Tap the cart button (Buy now) on the one you want. The name is filled in for you at checkout.
- Checkout asks for the domain owner’s contact details (name, email, phone, address, country). They are filled in from your account profile, so check them before paying.
The domain is registered in your name: you are the legal owner, not ATBP. Use real details, because the registry may email the owner address to verify it, and a domain with fake owner details can be suspended. WHOIS privacy is turned on, so your details are not shown publicly.
For a Philippine mobile number, type it as you normally would (for example 09171234567) with country code 63.
Transferring a domain you already own
When you search for a name that is already registered, you’ll see a Transfer button with the transfer price. Before you order:
- Unlock the domain at your current registrar.
- Get its EPP code (also called auth code or transfer code) from your current registrar. Checkout asks for it.
- The domain must be more than 60 days past its registration or last transfer. This is a registry rule.
After you pay, we check the code with the registry before the transfer starts. If the code is wrong or the domain is still locked, the order stops and support will contact you; fix it at your current registrar and we’ll retry.
A transfer usually takes 5 to 7 days. Your current registrar may email you to approve it, and approving it speeds things up. While it moves, your domain shows Transfer in progress under My domains , and your website and server keep working because your current nameservers are kept. A transfer adds one year to the domain’s expiry date.
Managing your domains
My domains lists everything you own with us. Tap a domain to open it. The Overview tab shows its expiry date, days left, nameservers, lock and privacy status, and a Renew domain button that shows the renewal price before you pay. Invoices and cancellation are under Billing and cancellation at the top of the page. Under Quick actions you can:
- Turn the transfer lock on or off. Keep it on unless you are moving it to another registrar. If you turn it off, it turns back on automatically after 14 days.
- Turn WHOIS privacy on or off. Leave it on unless you need your details shown publicly.
- Get the EPP/auth code you need to move the domain to another registrar. Turn the transfer lock off as well, or the transfer will be refused.
- Turn expiry reminder emails on or off, and sync the domain’s details from the registry.
Lock, privacy and the EPP code are only self-service for domains registered in your name. For an older domain registered by ATBP, open a ticket and staff will do it for you.
The DNS records tab lets you edit your records, or set up a Minecraft address in one step. The Nameservers tab lets you switch to your own nameservers (up to five) and back. To point a domain at your game server, see Using a domain, or open a ticket with your server address and staff will set it up.
Refunds
Domains are not refundable once registered or transferred, because the registry charges us immediately. Double-check the spelling: a different spelling is a different domain.
