Authenticate the server

1. Start the server and watch the Console in the panel . It prints a link and a code after the text “Please visit the following URL to authenticate”.
2. Open the link in a browser, or go to the Hytale device verification page and type the code.
3. Sign in with the Hytale account that owns the game and press Approve.
4. The console should say authentication was successful.

If it asks again later, run /auth login device in the console and repeat. The code expires after about 10 minutes, so restart the server to get a new one. One account can authenticate many servers, but each must be done separately.

Add a password

1. Stop the server.
2. In Files, open config.json in the main server directory.
3. Put your password between the quotes of the "Password" setting. Leave the quotes empty to remove it.
4. Save and start.

Use a whitelist

In the panel console (no slash) or in game as an operator (with a slash):

whitelist on
whitelist add PlayerName
whitelist remove PlayerName

Names must match the in-game name exactly, including capitals. Add yourself too.
