DayZ servers do not download Workshop mods by themselves, so you add them yourself. Stop the server in the panel before uploading.
Steps
- Subscribe to the mods in the DayZ Launcher or Steam Workshop and launch the game once so they download as
@ModNamefolders. - In Files, upload each
@ModNamefolder to the server root. - In each mod folder, copy every
.bikeyfrom itskeysfolder into the server’skeysfolder. - Add the mods to the server’s mod launch parameter, separated by semicolons. If your panel has an Additional Mods or startup field, use that.
- Start the server.
Load order and keys
- Put dependencies first. Community Framework (
@CF) usually goes at the top. - A missing
.bikeymakes the server reject every player using that mod, or drop out of the public list. - Some mods need extra server-side files, so read each mod’s page.
- If a mod adds items, you may need to merge its entries into
types.xml, see loot.
Players
Everyone needs the same mods and versions. The DayZ Launcher prompts players to subscribe to missing ones. DayZ does not update Workshop mods automatically, so after a mod update, re-download and re-upload it.
