If the console says a plugin is outdated or fails to enable, that plugin was made for a different Minecraft version than your server.
Fix it
- Open the Console tab and scroll through the startup messages. Look for a red or warning line naming the plugin.
- Update it:
- In the Plugins tab (if available), search for the plugin and install the newest version. See Installing Plugins.
- Or download the newest
.jarfrom the plugin’s official page and upload it toplugins, replacing the old file.
- If no newer version exists, remove the old
.jarfrompluginsor find an alternative. - Restart the server.
Tips
- After updating Minecraft, update your plugins too. See Updating Your Server.
- Many plugin errors are caused by one missing dependency. Read the line right before the error.
- To find a plugin that causes a crash, use the Binary Search method.
