There are two kinds of mods:

  • Modlets edit game data (items, loot, recipes). They usually work together and are removed by deleting their folder.
  • Overhaul mods change game code and conflict more often. They need the author’s own steps and usually need Easy Anti-Cheat (EAC) off.

Install a modlet

  1. Download from a trusted site and extract it.
  2. Find the folder that directly contains ModInfo.xml. Upload that folder only, not any wrapper folder.
  3. Stop the server in the panel .
  4. In Files, create a Mods folder in the server root if it is missing, and upload the mod folder inside it:
Mods/YourModName/ModInfo.xml
  1. Start the server and look for the mod name in the console.

Every player needs the same mods in the Mods folder of their own game, and the mod must match your game version.

Easy Anti-Cheat

Code-changing mods can make EAC kick players. Set EACEnabled to false in serverconfig.xml and ask players to follow the mod’s client instructions.

⚠️

EAC must stay on for console and crossplay. Overhaul mods make a server PC and Steam only.

Troubleshooting

  • Mod missing from the console: ModInfo.xml is probably nested one folder too deep.
  • Players kicked: usually EAC.
  • Server will not start after an overhaul: usually a version mismatch after a big game update. Check the mod page for the supported version.
  • Two mods clash: remove them one at a time.
